Citing new DEI guidelines, UNC has revoked the Black Student Movement’s control of a campus lounge

UNC has revoked the Black Student Movement’s control of a lounge that’s been used by students of color since the 1960s. University administrators say they made the change to the Upendo Lounge to comply with new anti-DEI guidelines from the federal government and UNC system.
