Coalition calls on Gov. Cooper to commute the sentences of N.C. death row inmates

The Orange County Board of Commissioners has passed a resolution calling on Governor Roy Cooper to commute the sentences of the 136 inmates on North Carolina’s death row.

That’s the 5th largest death row in the country. The commissioners’ action came as The North Carolina Coalition for Alternatives to the Death Penalty marched through the state.

Carolina Connection’s W.H. Hayes speaks with the executive director, Noel Nickle.
