Lee homeowners fight fracking

Fracking is a divisive issue in North Carolina. Environmentalists criticize this kind of drilling, which extracts natural gas from a once unreachable shale rock layer deep within the Earth.

Fracking was legalized in North Carolina in 2012.

Now, some Lee county homeowners have learned that they may not have the right to stop fracking on their own land.
