Solar tariffs complicate job prospects for environmental sciences students

This week, President Trump authorized tariffs on aluminum and steel.  It’s a decision that the White House says will help domestic manufacturers, but some industry leaders fear will hurt companies who use those products.

But an earlier tariff on solar panels that the President ordered in late January is already being felt by North Carolina companies – and even by some UNC students.
