UNC may get a Franklin St. entrance, displacing some longtime businesses

UNC wants to give East Franklin Street a makeover. The Porthole Alley Redevelopment Plan will create a new downtown entrance to campus, but it could come at the cost of losing restaurants and other businesses that have been there for decades.
