Shooting for the stars: UNC students hope to win an Oscar

Nominations for the 2019 Oscars were released two weeks ago. But even before this year’s awards are handed out, a group of UNC students is looking ahead to 2020.

They’re hoping they’ll win an Oscar next year, but they have to make a movie first.

The executive producers discovered an obscure category that no one has won in almost two decades.

Charlotte Ix tells us how their chances are looking.
