Government shutdown ends, but UNC students still feel its effects

President Trump and Congressional leaders reached a deal to temporarily reopen the federal government. But the effects of the 35 day shutdown are still being felt by many people.

Among them are recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program which helps feed 40 million Americans. Here in Chapel Hill, some UNC students are worried about their own families.
