UNC students with ties to Syria react to chemical attack, U.S. airstrikes

President Trump has ordered a missile strike near Damascus after the Syrian government used chemical weapons against civilians last week.

That chemical attack and the response from the U.S. has brought the conflict in Syria back into many Americans’ minds. But for those with ties to the country, the thought of its civil war never fades.
