Orange County combats blood-borne illnesses with safe syringe program

Opioid addiction is increasing in the U.S., and one way some people abuse the drugs is by injecting them with syringes. Health Departments all over the state are implementing “safe syringe programs,” in order to stop the spread of blood-borne illnesses.

A program in Orange County provides clean needles to anyone in need.
