Students begin the new year “waste-free”

You’d be hard pressed on UNC’s campus to find a student without her trusty reusable water bottle.

The numbers back this up– according to the Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling, students are producing less trash than ever before. For an all-or-nothing group of UNC students, composting their leftovers and ditching plastic water bottles is only the beginning. For the new year, these students have resolved to live entirely “waste-free.”
