Las Vegas shooting renews gun debate

Sunday’s massacre in Las Vegas left almost 60 people dead and hundreds more injured. As Americans ponder the latest mass shooting in the United States, many are calling on lawmakers to implement stricter gun control. They point to the extreme violence of the event and the availability of deadly weapons.

With us now to talk about the shooting and the future of gun policy in the U.S. is professor Jeff Welty of the UNC School of Government.
