BOG passes controversial ban on Civil Rights Center litigation

A heated debate over an institution at UNC that’s come under scrutiny reached a climax with a controversial Board of Governors vote Friday. The board voted to prohibit the Center for Civil Rights from litigating on behalf of poor and disenfranchised populations.
