Hidden behind a row of hedges just off Franklin Street is an unassuming brown, shingled house.

Students walk past and cars whiz by, without realizing that this isn’t your average residence. It is the Gorgon’s Head Lodge, home to one of the University of North Carolina’s oldest secret societies: The Order of the Gorgon’s Head.

But what is the Order of the Gorgon’s Head and who are its members?

Sade’ Wilson and Maggie Blunk set out to uncover the mystery.
