Campus ‘safe spaces’ provide refuge, spark controversy

A place where you can be yourself. A place where you belong. That’s what advocates say safe spaces provide for students at UNC. Some students are pushing for more of these so-called “no-judgment zones” to appear on campus.

But critics say comfort now could harm students in the long run. Jay Siebold reports.
