Getting clean energy by getting a little dirty

When you think of sustainable energy movements, you might think of the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” campaign, solar panels or wind turbines.

But in Catawba County, to get some clean energy, you’ve got to get a little dirty. That’s because one landfill, for more than three decades, has been converting the methane from trash into usable energy.
