Embattled housekeeping manager fired

University officials have confirmed they fired a housekeeping manager after complaints of verbal abuse by the employees she oversees.

Juanita Williams’ firing comes a year after UNC acknowledged that housekeepers were treated unfairly by their managers.

Still, there are questions about whether things will improve even after this change.
