Young women urged to learn about cancer

More than 7000 women in North Carolina will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. 1200 of them will die.

But there are steps to help them survive. October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” and UNC health officials are hoping that college students and other young women take the time to learn about the disease.
