UNC researcher questions cell phone ban

Chapel Hill may soon make it illegal to use a phone behind the wheel. The town council held a hearing this week on banning cell phone use while driving, and will further consider it next month. Supporters of the ban argue it would make the roads safer. But a UNC researcher says the statistics don’t really prove that.
