UNC sociologist puts protests in perspective

The right to peaceably assembly – as demonstrated on campus this week – is one of the First Amendment’s protected rights. But not all of us exercise it. So who attends protests, and why? A sociologist at UNC studies exactly that.

“Speaking of the First Amendment” is a collaborative project between Carolina Connection, UNC’s student TV newscast, Carolina Week, and its online news site Reese News.
