Course offerings decrease with budget cuts

By Mike Henson

UNC system President Thomas Ross says if the UNC is forced to enact a 15.5% budget cut as Republican legislative leaders have proposed, it will take students longer to graduate.

That’s because the system could lose 9,000 course sections and 240,000 class seats.

Because of cuts already enacted in previous years, some students already are having trouble getting the classes they want.
