Students at UNC find all sorts of ways to get around campus: bikes, buses, cars. And now a group of students is promoting another way to travel: riding long boards, which are similar to skateboards except they’re longer. And they do more than cool tricks and jumps- they give riders more control and speed as they cruise over hilly roads or sharp hills. Two UNC students started a long boarding club in February to share their love of the sport, teach others and just have a good time.
