UNC tries to break mental health stigma

UNC administrators and students have stepped up their efforts to open a campus-wide discussion about mental health. It comes after the suicide of Demitri Allison, a football player from nearby Elon University. Last month, he fell to his death from the 10th floor of a UNC dorm, leading to a traumatic scene in the middle of campus.

As Louis Fernandez reports, part of the challenge of addressing mental health issues is fighting the stigma that makes them hard to talk about.
