Faculty voice concerns about Poverty Center vote

Following Friday morning’s Board of Governors meeting, UNC’s faculty council met to voice its concerns about the board’s decision to close the Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity.

UNC Chancellor Carol Folt said while she is disappointed about the board’s decision, the university as a whole will continue to fight poverty.
