Wainstein finds widespread fraud

Former federal prosecutor Kenneth Wainstein released his independent review Wednesday.

His conclusion: 3,100 students took fraudulent classes over an 18 year period from 1993 to 2011. Just under half were student-athletes. And dozens of UNC faculty and staff knew or should have known something wasn’t right.
